Ok so maybe that title was't the best, but hey cut me some slack.
So I don't actually know what to say because frankly I'm not quite familiar with the site yet...but thats what all the "newbies" say, right? Well yea thats who I am at this moment......
SO , yea I'm really at lost as to what to say because i'll bet that you don't want to here my ranting about this so I'll quit. Man I hate it when these things don't automatically capitallize my I's ! Its such a bug to have to go back and do it myself! Ugh...anyways i will get some things up and running for you to (maybe) comment on !

Nah. Writing isn't about precision, just let the words flow. Things that are revised over and over lead to crap. The spontaneous flow of words was interrupted, and that is never a good thing.

Exactly. When I was thirteen I was like you. I loved writing but thought I was horrible, then this teacher told me one day I was amazing. Then the year after that my other teacher told me she couldn't wait to see where words could take me. In high school, I always seemed to get bad grades on essays sophomore year, because it wasn't developed enough and all that jazz, and my teacher told me I was a great writer, but I needed to do things his way, and I still didn't. :) All that matters is if you are happy with what you put down on paper, forget everyone else.

ReplyDeleteNo problem. Remember writing isn't about quantity, it's about quality. The simple one line can mean more to someone than a whole entire paragraph.

ReplyDeleteThat's because I was exactly like you. You just need to keep developing your abilities, and before you know it, you will just blow yourself away. Just find your natural flow. Writing random things really helps. I used to, sometimes still do, write raps every now and again when I find myself fighting everything I write down. You just have to find that perfect flow, it's kind of like directing your words in a symphony, sometimes it makes amazing music, and other times you think what the heck is this crap? When that happens, just find the best lines and start all over.
